Rafael Cordeiro is one of the original founding members of the famous Chute Boxe fighting organization that orginated and still thrives in Curitiba, Brazil. Rafeal is a Muay Thai and Vale Tudo fighter from Curitiba, Brazil. In 1999, Rafael won the IVC lightweight championship while fighting for the Chute Boxe Aacademy. He has a professional Muay Thai record of 30-0, and a professional MMA record of 6-2. Rafael is also a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In 2008, Rafael left Brazil and came to the United States to open his own Muay Thai and MMA camp: Kings MMA. Rafael Cordeiro is known in fight circles as one of the best, if not the best Muay Thai and MMA coach in the world. Often, he is called on to coach fighters such as Wanderlei Silva and Fabricio Werdum to help them prepare for upcoming fights. Since he began coaching, Rafael has promoted a number of notable fighters to the black belt level. These fighters include names such as Anderson “The Spider” Silva, Maricio Shogun Rua, Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva, Fabricio Werdum, Cris Cyborg, Adre Dida, and Michael Costa. Kings MMA is now home to many up and coming fighters, as well as a home to many others that do not aspire to fight professionally, but instead want the best self defense and fighting instruction available. Currently, Rafael coaches such notable fighters as Fernando Betega, Fabricio Werdum, Doug Marshall, Cleber Luciano, Marlon Mathias, Eric Apple, Jamie Yeggar, Felipe Fogolin, Paul Song, and more.
